Empathy and kindness shown by our funeral director Jo Lang.
Efficiency with the arrangements which was very important as we had family returning to the United States and were on limited time.
I dealt with Joe who was very compassionate and helpful towards understanding my needs for my Dads service.
I would recommend George Hartnett Funeral Services to anyone wanting a funeral for a loved one.
Whether you need us now or want to plan ahead, we're ready to support you 24/7.
Location Manager - Cleveland
I commenced with Metropolitan Funerals in 2000 and I have had the privilege to work in the management role since 2001. Now we have merged with George Hartnett Funerals our professional team has grown. What I enjoy about my role is supporting my team and seeing them develop into professional caring Funeral Directors. It is an honour to be involved with families in preparing and providing the farewell service they wish for their loved one.
My network and community involvement commitments are varied and an enjoyable part of my role. I am part of a Community Forum made up of local businesses to prevent Domestic Violence, in conjunction with Joe Kelly our local Member of Parliament. This connection has lead our branch to be able to support a new group called Beyond DV helping women and children regain their lives and self-worth. The Southside Chamber of Commerce actively promotes our business and I enjoy my involvement with this group. On a personal level I have an interest in the prevention of suicide. I attend and support the Griffith University Suicide research department when they hold courses and events for awareness. The QLD Homicide Victims Support Group is also an organization that I have a passion in helping. As a company we donate flowers, catering and booklets to their Annual Memorial Service.
In my spare time I enjoy time with my husband who happens to work at Mt Thompson Crematorium in a role he thoroughly enjoys. We like to travel, go to music concerts with friends usually involving 80's music and try new restaurants.
