Viewings

We provide quiet spaces across Brisbane where families and close friends can spend time with their loved one in a calm and private setting.

A chance to say a final goodbye. While you’ll keep your loved one in your heart forever, a viewing is often seen as one last chance to spend time with them before saying your final farewell.

Understanding what happens at a viewing

A viewing usually takes place at the funeral home but it can be held at your home if you wish. While the funeral is generally a public event, viewings are usually private with only family and selected friends in attendance.

It’s a common practice for families to make the viewing a special time together. They might play favourite music, share a favourite drink or some food together or place small mementos in the coffin, such as photographs, favourite belongings or personal goodbye letters. All of this is possible to make your final time together special.

Do you have to have a viewing?

Not everyone chooses to have a viewing. Some families appreciate the chance for a quiet farewell, while others prefer different ways of remembering. Follow what feels right for you. If you’re uncertain, we’re always happy to discuss the options.
