Having our own chapels and facilities, ensures you have the opportunity to control all aspects of the service provisions. We want your family and friends to have all the time needed to carry out the type of funeral you want.

Chapel

Seats 85 guests and has additional standing room in the Portico.

Audio Visual

Available to play music and show photos and videos to commemorate your loved one.

A private and comfortable space to meet our funeral directors.

Our on-site car park has 48 available spots, with additional parking available on Brickfield Road.

A space for after funeral events, our reflection lounge can accommodate 70 guests.

Penny Taylor

Penny has been the Location Manager at George Hartnett Metropolitan Funerals (GHM) in Aspley since 2005. She started off in the funeral industry back in New Zealand in 2000, before meeting her husband and moving to Australia to start a new life.

When asked, what do you like most about your role as a Funeral Director, Penny’s answer is always the same - the different families you meet every day make a difference. She feels great satisfaction from hearing families express “that was a lot easier than I thought it would be” and “you made it so much easier.”

She is very proud of the updated refurbished chapel and wake facilities at Aspley. The facilities are not only available for funeral services but also for community groups to use.

Penny is driven by her dedication to support families when they need it most.
